Giving to the University of Texas Marine Science Institute is an investment in the future for the Texas Gulf Coast and the sea life that inhabits it.   

Your support allows the Institute to continue vital Research and Education that provides for a better understanding of the marine environment and the critical interplay between humans and this important ecosystem.

Partner with us by becoming a member of “Friends of the Sea™”, our annual membership/sponsorship program that provides all members and sponsors access to the Visitor’s Center, the Wetlands Education Center, the Public Lecture Series, and announcements of upcoming events.  The amount of your donation determines the level of participation in other activities such as a “Meet and Greet with Scientists” or a “Research Vessel Cruise”.

In addition to our annual membership, there are other ways to support the Marine Science Institute: Individual Gifts, Planned Gifts, Endowments, Matching Gifts, and In-Kind Gifts.

All donations help support facilities for research and education, graduate fellowships, faculty, academic programs, and strategic goals.  Your gifts are the foundation that allows MSI to continue improving upon ecosystem health, human health, ocean exploration, and ocean literacy for K-12 students.   In addition, the Marine Science Institute benefits from your generosity by having the necessary funding to better understand climate changes that impact our environment.
