MNS w383 Statistics & Data Analysis in Marine Science

Video Classroom

An introduction to the basic principles of statistics and data analysis in marine science. Lectures will cover principles of statistics, hypothesis testing, data analysis methods (such as regression analysis, principle component analysis, cluster analysis) using MATLAB.  Students will gain experience using MATLAB with the thorough practice exercises that employ their own datasets.  The goal is to provide students with skills that will enable them to better design experiments for effective statistical analysis and interpretation.
