Scientific Diving Program

The UTMSI Diving Program supports diving operations by students and staff of the Institute. We are an accredited AAUS program with reciprocity privileges at other recognized AAUS programs. Diving operations at UTMSI have been conducted in the local coastal zone, offshore reefs, the arctic and antarctic as well as blue-water diving operation in the Gulf of Mexico and central Pacific Ocean. The Dive Manual has information needed to apply for scientific diving certification at UTMSI as well as general operation procedures.
