On the lighter side . . .

After all that science, we thought that it would be nice to share our lighter side with you.  Here are some photos of us at our best and our worst.

In the field  . . .

Left:  Pete is just realizing how many samples he's got left to go before he rests.

Below:  Pete and Susan inspect new trout before treating them in holding tanks.

This is why we endocrinologists tend to stay on land!  Some of our lab members didn't fare to well out on the R/V Longhorn offshore during one of the summer classes.  Fortunately, we do our field sampling on much smaller boats.

Our journal club meetings

Each week, a lab member hosts a lunchtime journal club meeting to discuss a recent interesting article or to present new data for review.

UTMSI Open House 2006

Dr. Yefei Pang gives a presentation describing our lab's work and conducts a public tour of our wet lab facilities for the 2006 Open House.

Endocrine Society Meeting Boston 2006

And just for fun . . .

Our lab often hosts scientists from around the world to learn techniques and conduct research.  We had the pleasure of having Toshi and Mika Tokumoto visit from Japan for several months.
